We're back!

We're back!

After months of technical issues, the Wollongong Christian Reformed Church website is now back online - to stay! We apologise for the downtime lately, especially over the busy Easter period. Now, however, the site has been moved to a new server, where we expect we will experience much fewer issues.

Now that we're back, you can expect much more happening on the website in the coming weeks and months such posting on the Church blog, event information and new features. Please continue to provide feedback on how we can best serve you through this website, and keep checking back for new content!

Queensland Flood Appeal

Queensland Flood Appeal

Floods have affected 75% of Queensland and many parts of NSW. People have perished and many are feared drowned. There is a huge impact on thousands of people whose homes have been flooded, whose businesses have been seriously affected, and who've lost family members. It will take a long time, a lot of effort, and much money to rebuild and start again.
Wollongong CRC wants to help the victims of these floods, and you can help in the following ways: Read more »

The Good Shepherd (Sermon Link)

For those at our morning service today, John mentioned a story and link during the sermon on Psalm 23:

Two young women had a great assurance of [God's presence] in January 1681 in Edinburgh. They had been imprisoned for their protestant faith and one day were led out to be hanged. As they made their way to the scaffold they sang the words of [Psalm 23] to comfort and encourage each other with their hope in God.
"I will fear no evil, for you are with me."

Each one of us needs that strength of conviction and trust in the Lord - that no matter what comes your way, the Lord is with you.

2011 NSW Young Adults Camp

2011 NSW Young Adults Camp

The NSW State Youth Connection would like to invite all young adults (Year 12 and up) to our annual Young Adults Camp where we have the fantastic opportunity to spend the weekend with other Reformies from all over the state and join in learning more about how we can serve our amazing God!

This year we've moved to a new, bigger venue (don't panic - it's still just a short walk from the beach!!), and we will be hearing Philip Scheepers from the RTC speak on missions.

For registration forms see Phil Stolk.

Praise the Lord - Euthanasia Bill Defeated in SA

25 November 2010

Dear Friends,

It was indeed a long night in the SA Legislative Council public gallery last night – but as speech followed speech on Greens MP Mark Parnell’s bill to legalise voluntary euthanasia, we were conscious of many prayers – thank you!

Independent MP Ann Bressington (who had supported the second reading of the bill last year) said she had effectively changed her mind – that she had seen the “slippery slope” which followed the passing of SA’s abortion laws and believed the same thing would happen if voluntary euthanasia were made legal. The public gallery then spontaneously erupted in loud, long applause! Read more »
